This past Saturday during a record snow fall in Charm city we were called on numerous occasions to find out if we were still open. The answer was and will always be yes. Genya wore the costume last night to Nightmare on Bourbon Street. "The bouncers and staff totally got it, and were really excited," she said. "The crowd inside was mostly college students and many of them didn't get it at first. However, because my friends and I were handing out pens all night people caught on pretty quickly." Everyone loved the costume so much that they encouraged her to enter the costume contest that night, which sadly she didn't win. She has higher hopes for tomorrow night when she will be in Fells Point, "I think it will be a lot better in Fells Point, it will be a much larger crowd."

So, how can you become a Big Boyz Pen for Halloween you may be asking? This is how Genya did it. "Making the costume was a labor of love. I've never been a crafty person, so it was quite an undertaking. First I bought a white sweatsuit. Then I cut off the right sleeve, which I dyed pink. I dyed the rest of the suit yellow, and then sewed the sleeve back on. I used stencils to spray paint "Big Boyz Bail Bonds" up the right side. I bought pink slippers to match my pink hat (onto which I sewed a toilet paper roll covered in pink tissue paper) and the pink glove for my right hand. To complete the costume, I mixed red and white face paint and painted my entire face and neck. It was my first time dyeing, sewing, and spray painting!"
